Problem with a purchase shown on your statement: Credit card
I am available for contact and can be reached through the phone number already associated with my account for any necessary verification or follow-up, as I am unable to complete standard phone verification methods. I am filing this complaint regarding an ongoing fraud investigation on my Chase credit card account that has not been properly handled or clearly explained. For several weeks, I have repeatedly contacted Chase in writing requesting a status update and basic information about the fraud investigation involving unauthorized transactions. Despite multiple attempts, I have not received any substantive response. Instead, I have only received repeated automated and template replies stating that my message has been forwarded and that I should expect a response within two business days. These deadlines have repeatedly passed without any meaningful update or resolution. I find this lack of transparency and failure to provide basic information unacceptable, especially given that this involves an active fraud investigation. I have specifically requested the following information : * Current status of the investigation * Date the investigation was opened * Reason for the delay * Expected completion timeline * Whether temporary credits, fee suspensions, or account protections are in place * How interest charges and late fees will be handled if the transactions are confirmed as unauthorized None of these questions have been answered. I have also informed Chase that I am unable to complete standard phone verification and have requested written communication or secure messaging only. Despite this, I continue to be directed to phone support, which I can not use. At this point, I am requesting CFPB assistance to ensure the company provides a clear written update, proper handling of the fraud investigation, and transparent communication regarding my account status and liability.
