Struggling to pay your loan: Payday loan, title loan, personal loan, or advance loan
I am a Florida consumer filing a complaint regarding Uprova Credit , LLC. According to my loan agreement, I borrowed $400.00. The agreement states that I would be required to repay a total of $1500.00, including finance charges of $1100.00, with an APR of 540.26 %. Since obtaining this loan, I have paid approximately $680.00 toward the account. This amount exceeds the original principal borrowed by $280.00. Despite this, Uprova currently claims that I still owe approximately $770.00. I dispute the remaining balance. I have already repaid substantially more than the amount borrowed, and the remaining balance appears to consist primarily of excessive interest and finance charges rather than unpaid principal. I believe the loan 's terms are unfair, excessive, and predatory. The cost of credit is grossly disproportionate to the amount borrowed. I am also concerned that the lender relies on tribal law provisions and arbitration requirements that may limit consumers ' ability to challenge the debt.
