Struggling to pay your bill: Credit card

Work at the time slowed down and had weeks without work. Also had a company close completely and unable to pay credit cards charged debt. Kept getting phone calls on paying bills. Credit cards charged and got sent to a debt collector. Now debt collectors call me everyday at least 5 times to make a full payment amount.
