Problem with a lender or other company charging your account: Checking or savings account
am requesting that Chime reopen and thoroughly investigate my fraud dispute regarding seven unauthorized ATM withdrawals totaling $280.00. Prior to these withdrawals, Chime sent me a text message asking whether a $200.00 transaction was authorized. I did not respond because I was away from my phone. I never confirmed that any of the activity was mine. Shortly afterward, seven separate ATM withdrawals of $40.00 each were completed in another state. I did not make these withdrawals, did not authorize anyone else to make them, and did not receive any of the funds. I promptly reported the unauthorized withdrawals to Chime and filed a fraud dispute. My initial dispute was denied, and my request for a second review was also denied. I disagree with this determination because my failure to respond to a fraud alert should not be interpreted as authorization of the transactions. In fact, the fraud alert itself indicates that the activity was suspicious enough to trigger Chimes fraud detection. I respectfully request a detailed explanation of the evidence used to deny my claim, including whether the physical card, PIN, ATM location information, surveillance footage, or any other documentation was reviewed. I also request that this matter be reconsidered, as these withdrawals were unauthorized and resulted in a financial loss of $280.00. I certify that the disputed ATM withdrawals were not made or authorized by me and ask that my claim be reviewed again based on all available evidence.
