Managing an account: Checking or savings account

My federal tax refund was deposited into an account that I forgot was listed for my refund. When my refund came I called chime to see if my refund was sent to them.the rep woulbt answered and got message to eventually close my account due to fraud and stated I was t eligible for a refund and then hung up the phone.
