Complaint Against Chime Regarding Unauthorized ATM Withdrawal I am filing this complaint because Chime has repeatedly denied my fraud dispute regarding an unauthorized ATM withdrawal totaling $580.00, despite substantial evidence that I did not authorize the transaction. On the day the unauthorized withdrawal occurred, I immediately contacted Chime to report the fraud. I have consistently maintained that I did not make or authorize the withdrawal. At the time of the transaction, I was still in possession of my physical debit card. I have never shared my PIN with anyone, nor has anyone ever had permission to use my account or my debit card. After reporting the fraud, I filed a police report. During the police investigation, law enforcement reviewed the ATM surveillance footage and identified the individual making the withdrawal as a male. I am a female, and the person captured on the surveillance video is clearly not me. I submitted this police report to Chime as additional evidence supporting my dispute. Despite this evidence, Chime has denied my dispute four separate times without providing a meaningful explanation of how it determined that the transaction was authorized. Chime has not explained how it reconciled the police findings with its decision, nor has it provided the evidence it relied upon in reaching that conclusion. I am requesting that Chime : 1. Reopen and conduct a thorough investigation of my fraud claim. 2. Reimburse the unauthorized ATM withdrawal of $580.00. 3. Provide me with the evidence and documentation relied upon in denying my dispute, including any records showing how it concluded the transaction was authorized. 4. Explain whether the ATM surveillance footage, police report, and all supporting documentation I submitted were fully considered during its investigation. I acted promptly by reporting the unauthorized transaction the same day it occurred, cooperated fully with law enforcement, and provided Chime with all requested documentation. Given the evidence that the person on the ATM surveillance footage was not me, I believe Chimes repeated denial of my claim is unsupported and request that this matter be reviewed and resolved fairly.
