Charged fees or interest you didn't expect: Payday loan, title loan, personal loan, or advance loan
I am an Iowa resident filing a formal complaint against Uprova Credit , LLC regarding an online installment loan. This company is operating as a supervised lender targeting consumers inside the state of Iowa without holding the mandatory state lending license required by the Iowa Division of Banking.Furthermore, the interest rates and finance charges applied to this loan exponentially exceed the legal usury limits established under Iowa Code 535.4.The Iowa Attorney General 's office has explicitly confirmed that because this online tribal lending entity lacks proper state licensing, this entire loan agreement is completely void from inception under Iowa Code 537.2301 ( 3 ). Under Iowa law, I am under no legal obligation to pay either the principal amount financed or any associated finance charges.I have already sent a formal written notice to Uprova revoking my ACH banking authorization, my debit card authorization, and any voluntary wage garnishment agreements. I am filing this federal complaint to ensure the merchant immediately ceases all collection activity, stops attempting to access my bank account, and acknowledges that this contract is completely void and unenforceable under my state 's laws.
