Payed off a capital one for a credit card that i had with them and had to repay them but its still showing up on my credit report and they said it would go away but it hasnt please tell them to please remove from my credit report.

This is a supplemental complaint because Capital Ones response to my original CFPB filing did not address the core issues I raised. Their response only stated that they can not cancel the claim and that they have 90 days to investigate, but they did not address the following : - The missing provisional credit, required under the Fair Credit Billing Act ( FCBA ) - The fact that the merchant was debited but I was not credited. - The fact that I am experiencing property harm because my vehicle is being held under a mechanics lien. - The fact that Capital One mischaracterized my complaint as only a request to cancel a claim, ignoring the FCBA violations and financial harm Capital Ones response is incomplete, nonresponsive, and does not resolve the issue. Since filing the original complaint, I have since discovered : -Neither I nor the merchant received a dispute acknowledgment, an investigation notice, or a merchant chargeback notice. The complaint response states they are pending the merchant response ; however, the merchant has not received the dispute notice or any communication to actually respond.

I am writing to address an account being reported on my credit report for which I requested debt validation. I exercised my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and requested proper verification of the alleged debt. However, I have not received sufficient documentation to confirm that this debt is mine, that the amount is accurate, or that the collector has the legal authority to collect. Despite the lack of proper validation, the account continues to be reported on my credit file, which is negatively impacting my credit. I am requesting a full investigation. Any information that can not be properly verified must be removed.

I am reporting an unauthorized charge of $780.00 on my card at Lowes. This transaction was not made or authorized by me. I am requesting that it be investigated and the charge reversed

I timely disputed multiple transactions that I maintain were unauthorized. Capital One investigated and denied my claim, stating only that it believed I or another account user benefited from the transactions. However, Capital One has not explained the factual basis for that conclusion or provided the evidence supporting its determination despite my requests. While these disputed transactions remain unresolved, Capital One continues to : Report the account as delinquent to consumer reporting agencies ; Assess interest and late fees attributable to the disputed transactions ; and Increase the balance based upon charges that I continue to dispute as unauthorized. I have also filed identity theft-related disputes with the national consumer reporting agencies and have provided supporting documentation throughout this process.

I am formally disputing the Capital One account appearing on my consumer reports. The account is being reported inconsistently across consumer reporting agencies. The reporting reflects different account statuses and payment designations despite representing the same account. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires furnishers to report information with maximum possible accuracy. See 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) and 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ). Specifically, the account is reported with varying status descriptions including : * Payment after charge-off/collection * Legally paid in full for less than the full balance * Charge-off These differing descriptions raise concerns regarding the accuracy and consistency of the information being furnished. I request a reasonable investigation pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( b ) and request documentation supporting the reporting of the account status, payment history, balance history, and charge-off information. If the information can not be verified as accurate and complete, I request correction or deletion of the account from all consumer reporting agencies. Please provide written confirmation of the investigation results and copies of any documents relied upon.

I sent payment to capital one credit card from capital one checking and the money was available in checking and the payment was rejected and now credit card is closed and I called capital one credit card supervisor to keep account open but they couldnt this is severley impacting my credit when all I did was pay credit card. Thank you.

If you google Capital One/Quicksilver Credit card immediately a statement appears under their company link saying $200.00 sign up bonus and a few other things. I followed that link, hence there is only one Quicksilver credit card, applied and was approved. I received my card, spent the required amount with in the required time frame. My balance under rewards did not show my $200.00 sign up bonus. I called, they escalated to another department and within a week and a half got back to me saying i didn't apply for the bonus? There was only one link-i made no mistakes. I have never had this problem EVER with any other crew card company. This was false advertising. It was stated very clearly what you get! There was no confusion on my end. They LIED.

Capital One approved/opened a credit card account for me, then the first card was lost in the mail. I requested a replacement card. When it arrived, Capital One required online identity verification. I attempted verification multiple times within the written time period Capital One gave me, but their system showed errors. Capital One sent letters stating I still had 90 days to verify, and I was still well inside that window. I then spent about an hour on the phone with Capital One, uploaded my ID, completed selfie/face verification, and the representative reviewed it. After that, Capital One told me the account was locked because I had not verified. This appears to be a Capital One system/processing failure, not my failure to verify. I want Capital One to : 1 ) provide a written explanation of the exact reason the account was locked ; 2 ) reopen/activate the account or confirm closure without negative reporting ; 3 ) remove or correct any credit reporting caused by this ; and 4 ) consider removal of the hard inquiry if Capital One refuses to provide the account due to its own verification error.

I filed a fraud claim with my Capital One, but the bank incorrectly filed the claim. So, I called the bank ( phone call # 1 ) and was given provisional credit while the conducted an investigation, but due to the filing error my claim was denied and the credit was then taken from my account. I called a second time ( phone call # 2 ) and the same issue happened again or was not revised from the first call. Therefore, for a second time, my claim was denied and the provisinal credit that was provided while the investigation was taking place was taken from my account. I called the bank a third time ( phone call # 3 ) and was told the second claim was denied. In every phone call no reason was given for the denial. I then asked for a supervisor who informed me and admitted to the fact that the bank filed my claim incorrectly. He explicitly said so and apologized during a recorded phone conversation. I now have a negative balance with bills pending.

Capital One staff typed an incorrect digit for my joint account holder 's SSN during data entry. This administrative typo triggered an automated system freeze on my entire checking account, locking up my funds. Frontline phone support states they are unable to view or edit the incorrect SSN and can not unfreeze my money. This is an administrative error made entirely by Capital One.

Last Sunday I attempted to make a subscription purchase online using the virtual card. My card company is Capital One. As soon as I tried, they denied the charge and immediately restricted my account. They requested documentation from me for ID and residency. Within minutes I uploaded this information to them. As of today, they haven't done anything with that information. Telling me I must wait several days. They claim they have so many cases to deal with and just can't get to it fast enough. It is widely known that Capital One 's automatic system doesn't allow for many day period before the system will automatically close the account. I have attempted to be proactive and have called daily to get updates. So far nothing has been accomplished on this. The representatives have been very agressive and some even just blowing off the situation as not important, you just have to wait they say. To them there is no sense of urgency or customer service. Please help!

These accounts do not belong to me and are the result of identity theft and/or inaccurate reporting. I submitted an FTC Identity Theft Report and disputed the accounts with the credit reporting agencies and furnishers. Despite this, the accounts were verified and remain on my credit report. The accounts continue to report late payments and negatively affect my credit. I am requesting that the furnisher provide documentation proving I opened these accounts or delete them from my credit reports pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

I logged into my online profile with Capital One two weeks ago only to see that their online system shows that all three of my credit cards reflect that I am past due with my payments. I had spoken with Capital one and I was informed that they are aware but don't why I am getting those messages. Tonight I went online only to see that their system still has those messages reflecting on all three accounts but now they are saying that I am one payment past due. I know that none of my accounts are past due. I want to know why are these messages shown on my account and why hasn't Capital One done anything to remove these messages. My other serious concern is that they might have reported such information to the credit bureau of which is going to cause me a serious problem

I opened a CD with Capital One approximately three years ago. I contacted Capital One and requested that the CD be removed from my consolidated statements or maintained separately due to privacy concerns. Capital One representatives were courteous and attempted to assist me, but advised that under current policy the CD can not be separated from my other accounts and will continue to appear on consolidated statements. I am requesting a review of this policy and information regarding any available alternatives that would allow greater privacy for this account. I am requesting that Capital One review its policy regarding the display of Certificate of Deposit ( CD ) accounts on consolidated account statements. I have requested that my CD account be maintained separately from my other accounts for privacy reasons. I was informed that Capital One 's policy requires the CD to appear on all statements and that it can not be hidden, separated, or issued on its own statement. While I understand that this may be current policy, I believe customers should have the option to keep certain deposit accounts separate when privacy concerns exist. I am requesting a formal review of this decision and a written explanation of whether any alternative statement delivery, account separation, or privacy options are available. I am not disputing ownership of the account. Rather, I am seeking a reasonable accommodation that allows my CD account information to remain separate from my other account statements. Please provide a written response explaining the policy, the reason for the denial of my request, and any available alternatives.

I closed my secured account with capital one as circumstances came about that made it impractical for me, upon closing my account, they placed a hold on it due to being unable to verify my phone number or identity, my wallet was recently stolen/lost so i dont have my physical id to provide the agent in the fraud department, they have refused to provide me an alternative method to verify my id such as " out of wallet '' methods, and refused to escalate me to a supervisor and my funds as far as i know, remain frozen, though my statement as shown, shows i do in fact have a credit balance now of $970.00, I have offered to upload my driver 's licence as i have photos of ot in my phone and they refuse tk accept this, and told me that they will only take a photo of the physical Id, this isnt an option for me as like I earlier mentioned, it is lost/stolen.... I am simply requesting they release the hold on these funds as they are rightfully mine and mail my check immediately

I am trying to open a free checking account. I meet all legal requirements under Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act. I have a valid, unexpired State Driver 's License and a physical Social Security card. My current physical address is printed exactly on the front of my Driver 's License. The bank 's automated online system is denying me service based solely on automated third-party credit bureau data sweeps because I have a thin file. I am requesting a federal compliance intervention to force the bank to conduct a manual review so I can upload my physical government ID and SSN card to open this account. I do apologize for this inconvenience but my means are very limited and I require an online banking account to conduct future business.

I have written proof that capital one put me in a cease and desist and to not contact me any further through any means on communication and you guys agreed to that, I received a letter in the mail stating you are trying to garnish my wages when I informed you multiple times I have been unemployed for quite some time and have no money to give yet earn at the current moment and you guys are still dishonoring the agreement that you agreed upon, I would like to continue the cease and desist and for you guys to stop mailing me about garnish wages and to stop it from being processed as I do not have a job at the moment due to mental health issues and concerns we can continue and find a solution sometime next year when I am back on my feet this has to be the last time this is talked about at this point its ridiculous that I told you guys to understand my financial hardship and you continue to keep trying to make my life harder than it already is any more contact and breaking of the agreement then Ill continue to keep taking steps further to prove you guys simply dont care and just want money and not understand my financial and mental hardship

I respectfully dispute the late payment reporting on my account. First, I want to note that the account was never 60 days delinquent. The credit reporting reflects a 30-day late payment, and there should be no reporting whatsoever indicating that the account was 60 days late. Regarding the reported 30-day late payment, this was an isolated and unintentional situation that occurred while funds were being transferred between accounts. As a result, the funds were temporarily unavailable at the time the payment was due. This was not a result of an unwillingness to pay, financial neglect, or a pattern of missed payments. I have been a customer in good standing for many years and have maintained an excellent payment history. Prior to this isolated incident, I had never missed a payment on this account. As soon as I became aware of the issue, I immediately brought the account current and took corrective action by establishing automatic payments to ensure that this situation would not occur again. Given my longstanding positive payment history, the unique circumstances surrounding this isolated event, and my immediate efforts to remedy the situation, I respectfully request that the reported 30-day late payment be removed from my credit reporting. The late mark does not accurately reflect my overall history as a responsible customer and continues to have a disproportionate negative impact on my credit profile. I appreciate your review of this matter and respectfully request a goodwill adjustment and removal of the reported late payment from all credit reporting agencies. Thank you for your consideration.

First please review attached copy of the letter of rejection and then letter of my appeal to Capital One banking to reverse their decision on my denial. As noted in Capital Ones rejection my only recourse to resolve the denial was by written letter only to the address they provided in the rejection.notice. I spoke with both a Capital One representative and his manager. Both denied they were empowered to consider my further explanation of my financial status and why I believed they were in error for interpreting the Bureaus data. They further emphasized the only possible consideration would be to submit a letterwhich you now have copy of.

I submitted a dispute with the merchant kalshi through my bank capital one, the charges came out of my debit card without my permission. I have never used this merchant before i even sent capital one documents proving i did not have an account with the merchant but capital one denied the claim saying it was " authorized '' which is completely incorrect.
