I disputed a charge after the merchant failed to provide the services as represented and misrepresented the value and usability of the membership. I submitted detailed documentation supporting my dispute, including correspondence with the merchant, evidence of delays in providing access, proof of my cancellation request, screenshots showing lack of availability, and comparative pricing demonstrating that the services were significantly misrepresented. Despite receiving my dispute and supporting documentation, the company failed to conduct a reasonable investigation. My dispute was denied without meaningfully addressing the evidence I submitted. I was not provided with a detailed explanation of how my evidence was reviewed or why it was rejected. I believe the company failed to comply with its obligations under applicable consumer protection laws by not conducting a fair and reasonable investigation. I respectfully request that the CFPB require the company to perform a proper review of all submitted evidence, reconsider my dispute, and provide a detailed explanation of the basis for its decision.

I accidentally made a charge on my credit card and contacted the The vendor immediately and they waited two days to get back to me. I wanted to cancel it then when they finally did, I explained to them what happened and they said they would take care of the problem. The charge appeared on my credit card. I contacted my credit card company and they said they investigated it and turned me down and the charge came back on my card. Furthermore, I never received the product because the company evidently never sent it after I complained to them about being charged incorrectly. My credit card company is doing nothing to help me after waiting for 60 days. It is Barclays Bank.

I am formally disputing the validity of the alleged collection and charge-off account being reported under my name. This letter serves as a request for full debt validation pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 15 U.S.C. 1681i. I do not acknowledge this debt as valid. Before any further reporting, collection activity, or communication regarding this account continues, I am requesting that you provide the following : Verification of the debt, including the original signed contract or agreement bearing my signature. The complete payment history and itemized breakdown showing how the alleged balance was calculated. Proof of your legal authority to collect or report this debt, including a copy of any assignment or purchase agreement from the original creditor. The name, address, and contact information of the original creditor for proper verification.

This debt collector has engaged in conduct that violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). They are reporting an account that I did not authorize, and no signed agreement exists bearing my signature to validate any obligation. A legally binding contract requires clear consent from all parties, which is absent in this case. Additionally, the collector has failed to provide proper validation of the alleged debt as required under the FDCPA. Without sufficient documentation verifying the debts legitimacy, their continued reporting and collection efforts are unlawful. These actions constitute violations of my consumer rights. As a result, I demand the immediate deletion of this account from all reporting agencies. Failure to comply may result in further legal action, including claims for damages.

I received an email at my old email address that said congratulation on my new jet blue credit card. I never opened this card. I called the company and they closed it and said they will investigate on their end but that was all the info I recieved. Thinking someone has my social security number so now I am not sure what to do.

I went on a trip and used my Barclay credit card. Upon returning back to my hotel, I noticed a transaction with a merchant on my account that I did not approve. I quickly contacted Barclay and informed them of the situation. They temporarily credited my account $10.00 and sent me a new credit card. After a few days Barclay contacted me to ask me if I still had my credit card in my possession and I told them yes. The following day they reversed the temporary credit. I told them again this charge for $10.00 was not valid. They told me they were reversing the credit because the card 's chip technology had been used. I explained to them that I handed the merchant my card to process a transaction for $75.00 and they not only processed that but then proceeded to process an additional $10.00 transaction without my knowledge that I was disputing. I did not approve a $10.00 transaction. I explained this to Barclay and they still refused to help me. Instead rewarded a business that scams consumers.

I am filing this complaint because I believe this account is being reported inaccurately on my credit reports. I disputed the account with the credit bureaus after noticing that important information does not match. For example, the Date of Last Payment is different depending on which credit bureau I look at. The Date Last Active is also reported differently. The account also shows a $1500.00 credit limit even though the account is closed. After I filed my disputes, I was told that the account had been verified as accurate. However, the same issues remain and nothing was corrected. I have also asked for documents supporting the information being reported, including the original agreement, account statements, payment history, and records showing how the account was verified. I have not received the documents needed to explain the discrepancies or support the information being reported. I do not understand how the account can be verified as accurate when different credit bureaus are reporting different dates for the same account. I am concerned that the information being reported is not accurate and that my disputes were not properly reviewed.

I had a garage door company come out to fix my garage door. The service wasnt done properly and had 1 year warranty. Called the company few times but never answered the phone. I disputed the charge with my bank account. When the garage company found out, the decided to show up fix the garage and asked for the amount that was disputed so I paid them that amount. After I paid them, the went to Barclays ( the bank of my credit card ) and said they didnt get paid and to reverse the dispute. Barclays with no proof decided to reverse the dispute and when I called them they wouldnt provide me any proof or details on anything. I was able to reach someone at Barclays but they stopped responding within a few emails/phone calls. I am trying to dispute the charge with justification under section 9 of their dispute form which is paid by other means I paid the company with a check and they cashed it.
