I have an sever American Express prepaid card that I received my tax refund on .. Im now receiving my unemployment on it.I finally got my unemployment after waiting 3 months and now Im not sure if I misplaced my card or someone stole it at this point but my funds and I do mean all my funds entirely has been wiped off my card I did not give no one any consent/permission to use my card what so ever. I find it kinda weird that they locked my account for whatever reason they made me reset my pin and boom here we are.. Ive never had this happen .. Ive never in my life had to do a dispute I dont know anything about it but Ive researched here lately since Ive been dealing with this .. and I see lots of people saying my account should be credited which it havent so me and my children are going without!! This is ridiculously frustrating!!! I ended up losing my place shortly after losing my job while waiting on my unemployment to start coming .. it finally came and now this Ive reported the unauthorized transactions to my bank America express serve.. I finally got in touch with someone. I havent heard anything back yet.

Dont have the exact dates handy but refer to chronological events : 1. Entered into a transaction with merchant but item was unavailable at the time but transaction using Amexvo was entered, thus a transaction slip 2. Went to Merchant to officially cancel said transaction and said that they will cancel. 3. Received billing from Amexco reflecting subject amount. 4. Opened dispute with Amexco on the grounds of non delivery/receipt and submitted pertinent documents. 5. Dispute was closed in favor of Merchant. 6.Filed reconsideration but to no avail

I received an American Express prepaid giftcard with a balance of $100.00 as a present recently, and I have been declined each time I have tried to use it, both online and in person. I made sure that the card is activated and the balance is valid and it is. I was unable to find anyone to call or chat with when I was on the gift card website.

American Express has contacted me numerous times from various phone numbers regarding this debt. I previously agreed to a payment arrangement ; however, that arrangement was subsequently canceled. Since then, the frequency of collection calls has become excessive. I have informed American Express representatives that I have been dealing with a serious illness, yet there appeared to be little consideration given to my circumstances. Despite my efforts to communicate and address the matter, the calls have continued at an overwhelming rate. Additionally, my family members have informed me that they are now receiving calls from American Express regarding my account. This has caused significant distress and concern for both me and my family. I believe the volume and nature of these collection efforts have become unreasonable and have added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time.

Issue : Deceptive promotional practices and unfair denial of a $400.00 savings account bonus. I opened an American Express High Yield Savings Account to participate in a $400.00 sign-up bonus promotion. Per the promotional terms, I deposited the required funds via mobile check deposit. The funds physically appeared in my account balance and actively began accruing interest 5 days before the promotional deadline. American Express subsequently denied the $400.00 bonus, claiming that because I was a new customer, the funds were subject to an internal 11-business-day hold, causing the " settlement date '' to fall past the deadline. Being very clear Mobile check deposit was listed as a means to fund the account and I had successfully deposited a $500.00 check as a test prior to the $25000.00 check. It alls showed in my account according and began accruing interest. I attempted to resolve this directly with American Express customer service and supervisors, but they stonewalled me and refused to honor the promotion based on this technicality.

I am filing a complaint regarding American Expresss handling of late fees, service failures, and negative credit reporting. A small balance became past due after multiple service issues and inconsistent information from American Express representatives. Instead of helping resolve the issue, American Express immediately added late fees that were disproportionate to the underlying balance. I contacted American Express multiple times to dispute the proportionality of the fees and to request written documentation of their determination. Each time, I was denied escalation, denied documentation, and told I had to pay first before anyone would review the issue. No representative would provide a written explanation of how the fees were calculated or why they were considered appropriate. I made a goodfaith payment to bring the account current, but American Express continued to add fees and report negative information to the credit bureaus without addressing the underlying dispute. I eventually received a letter from the Executive Office, but it did not address the issues I raised. It did not address the late fees, the proportionality of the fees, the service failures, the refusal to escalate, or the negative credit reporting. It was a generic denial that did not reflect any investigation into my dispute.I am filing a complaint regarding American Expresss handling of late fees, service failures, and negative credit reporting. I am submitting this complaint regarding American Express and its continued reporting of disputed information associated with unauthorized and fraudulent activity. I have previously disputed this matter with the consumer reporting agencies and provided notice that the account and/or disputed activity was the result of fraud and unauthorized use. I also filed an FTC Identity Theft Report and supplied supporting documentation regarding my dispute. Despite these efforts, American Express has continued furnishing and reporting the disputed information. The information has been treated as verified even though I have consistently challenged responsibility for the disputed activity and requested a reasonable investigation. American Express has now been sent a direct written dispute by certified mail containing my identity theft documentation, proof of identity, and supporting evidence. The company has been placed on notice that I dispute responsibility for the reported account activity and any resulting derogatory reporting. I am requesting that American Express conduct a thorough investigation, review all information submitted, and provide documentation establishing that I personally authorized and benefited from the disputed transactions. If such documentation can not be produced, the disputed reporting should be removed and corrected with all consumer reporting agencies. I am seeking CFPB assistance because my prior disputes have not resulted in a meaningful resolution and the disputed reporting continues to negatively affect my credit profile.

This debt collector has engaged in conduct that violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). They are reporting an account that I did not authorize, and no signed agreement exists bearing my signature to validate any obligation. A legally binding contract requires clear consent from all parties, which is absent in this case. Additionally, the collector has failed to provide proper validation of the alleged debt as required under the FDCPA. Without sufficient documentation verifying the debts legitimacy, their continued reporting and collection efforts are unlawful. These actions constitute violations of my consumer rights. As a result, I demand the immediate deletion of this account from all reporting agencies. Failure to comply may result in further legal action, including claims for damages.
